After successfully setting up FitStop Coolum, the business owners leased a tenancy for their second FitStop at Noosa.
Fitstop operates throughout Australia, with multiple locations within South East Queensland. The Fitstop business model is one of fast, functional fitness which combines resistance training, body weight exercises and running. Classes typically include full body movements using barbells, dumbbells, dead balls and kettle bells, as well as a range of body weight movements for 45 minutes.
The Noosa Plan 2020 identified the site as being located within the District Centre Zone. Further to this, the site fell within the Noosaville Local Plan.
Council eventually issued a Development Permit for a Material Change of Use to establish an Indoor sport and recreation use on the site.
Operational processes which were addressed or conditioned as part of the gym development approval included, noise mitigation and noise management protocols, safety and security, crowd control, lighting, waste management and collection and car parking.
