Approved by Sunshine Coast Regional Council, in Buderim, the proposal was for building work involving additions and minor demolition of an existing dwelling house that is identified as a local heritage place.

The subject site was in the Low Density Residential zone and the Buderim Local Plan Area. Overlays applying to the land included heritage and character, airport environs and height of buildings and structures.

Full compliance was been demonstrated with the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014, including strategic framework, planning scheme and overlay codes.

The building work proposed additions to make the dwelling more contemporary and functional, whilst ensuring elements of significance are retained and the additions remained compatible with the character of the house.
